Some gesture drawings done at the beginning of the work. Some with reference from Medina himself and others from random images. This study makes it much easier to think about the movement and composition of the scene that would be created.
Abaixo, além da tatuagem que foi totalmente reproduzida no desenho, sem edição de imagem, o grande desafio foi a parte submersa. A intenção de pintar o braço dentro d'água com as borbulhas e os reflexos projetados surgiu durante a produção. As referências para chegar nesse efeito foram de extrema importância.
Below, besides the tattoo that was totally reproduced in the drawing, without image editing, the great challenge was the submerged part. Only during production came the intention of painting the arm in water with the projected bubbles and reflections. The references to reach this effect were of extreme importance.
Encontrar o desenho ideal para continuar a ilustração e seguir adiante, no caso dessa caricatura, foi um processo duro. Muito suor e buscando a inspiração necessária para fazer uma arte que seja digna. Abaixo estão alguns esboços descartados no início do processo.
Finding the ideal drawing to continue the illustration and to follow along, in the case of this caricature, was a hard process. Much sweat and seeking the inspiration needed to make a great art. Below are some sketches discarded at the beginning of the process.
